Reshaping Attitudes ... Changing Behaviors ... Ending Bullying

Have you been bullied? As a kid or even an adult. We would love to share your story. Maybe you just might want to write how you feel about the "Bullying" topic. It happens in schools, places of business, outside in the general public, even in families. Being different is not bad, no matter what the difference may be. No one deserves to be bullied for any reason.

Now comes the time where we ask for your help.

1. People willing to share a story or write a post about Bullying.
2. Donations for giveaways during the month.

The STOMP Out Bullying website has some groovy items that would work awesome as giveaway prizes and are very inexpensive. The link is --> HERE!

If you are willing to help us show support for National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, please leave your name, whether you want to do a guest post or donate something or both as well as a couple dates in October you will be available. If you don't feel comfortable leaving your information in the comments or if you have any questions at all, you may contact myself -->  here. or Jodie here --> here.

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life, but define yourself.” – Harvey Fierstein.

This is great. As a psychologist, I witness the trauma reactions bullying can cause later in life. I have a free short story about homophobic bullying on a college swim team titled Swim Recruit, so let me know how I can help.

Wow, the invitation I received on Facebook to join this event couldn't have come at a better time. This subject has been weighing heavily on our hearts as both of our children are going through issues with bullying. Both of us have also been victims of bullying in our school years. I love that you are helping to raise awareness.
We would love to donate a signed print copy of Project ELE as well as some digital copies of Project ELE and Redemption. We also have some bookmarks too. Just let us know what you think the turnout will be and how many prizes will work well for you. Our email is: rebeccacourtney@hotmail.com. We would love to do a guest post as well.
As, I said, this issue is weighing heavily on us lately and we actually have a blog post right now and a contest going on at our author blog as we urge our fans to take a stand against bullying. We'd love for you to check it out as you are getting ready for your event. Feel free to enter the giveaway too. :D

Hi Jennifer!

Wow. Thank you so much for the offer to join us in our battle against Bullying. If you wouldn't mind, I would love to have maybe a short post on bullying from your POV. And I already know I will adore your short story. I will get with you tommorrow to discuss details.

Thank you so very much!

I can't tell you how happy I am and at the same time, so very sad. I'm so glad that it seems that doing this just might make a little bit of a difference, even if it's not huge. Just to know that if I can just get through to someone, anyone for that matter will mean I've done something that matters. I feel sad that there are so many tons, and tons of children and adults being bullied and put in harmful situations, and the majority of them are too terrified to even let someone else know. To all of those people, I want to say and try to make them believe that THEY ARE NOT ALONE.

I'm so terribly sorry your children are being treated badly. As a parent I know it hurts you even more most of the time. I will be getting in contact with you tomorrow because I would like so much for you to be apart of our event. Also, the donation offer is appreciated more than you know.

P.S. I shared your Bullying post. It's wonderful. Thank you for letting me know about it.

Talk soon!

Sex Wax I'm reading The Absolute True Diary of a Part-Time Indian which is about a bullied kid so when I review I plan on doing a longer post and talking about bullying too. That counts right? It'll be perfect because it covers banned book week too. And wtf bullies. I was picked on relentlessly as a kid it's a major sore subject to me so if that works I'd love to be included.

Awesome, Jess! I would love for you to take part with a review and guest post. Thank you so much darling!

Hi Amy, I'd love to participate, if I can. As a victim of bullyin, I feel it's important to raise awareness on this subject. I'd love to donate a copy of Dear Bully through BookDepository as well, if you like.

Let me know!

I'd love to participate also. I have written a bully story that I would like to donate. I can give 2 paperback copies. It is the story of the most popular boy stepping into the shoes of the bullied kid and having to live in his world for a while. It is about hope, never giving up, and reaching out. This is a great idea!

I would love to participate in this! I can blog, as well as donate a signed copy of Maddie World to the giveaway. Maddie World is a children's lower grade chapter book about a girl who's bullied at school, and learns how to stand up for herself without becoming a bully herself. It's a fantasy with full color illustrations, a discussion guide for parents and kids in the back, and 10 coloring book pages in the back. You can email me at kimberly.kinrade at gmail dot com . Thank you for doing this! I'm free anytime in October for a post. Just let me know what you need and when.

I've written on my own personal blog about my son's experience with bullying and how we can to deal with the situation. (http://www.silveroutlinedwindow.com/2011/07/why-we-decided-to-homeschool-dear-principal/)

I'd love to contribute a blog post for this. We can use my original blog post or I can create a new one.

I look forward to hearing from you!
