SWEET MUSE by Ava Cummings
Release Date: 1.22.15
Pages: 241
Genre: Contemporary Fiction/Erotic Romance
Determined to overcome her difficult past, Anna Starr lands a coveted job at the nation's biggest celebrity magazine in the center of the New York City power scene. She learns early on to make it on her own, and through sheer force of will she does. But frustration sets in when the dark side of tabloid journalism starts to poke through, and she gets duped while dating slicker-than-thou city boys.

Amidst a sea of cocktail parties, Anna meets rising art star Damien Wolfe. Their connection is dangerous, intense, and passionate beyond her imagination.

He sees her in a way that she has never seen herself, setting her on a journey toward self-discovery—understanding what it means to be truly loved for the first time in her life. But she may lose it all when her blind ambition and his dark past lead to a crisis that changes everything.

“Sir, my husband of two years is lying in a hospital bed, brain dead. In a couple hours they are going to take him off the machines and cut him up in small pieces.

The tears streamed down my face blurring my vision as I continued. I know I'm not supposed to be here. But I woke up a little while ago from a nightmare and I needed him. This is the last chance I'm going to get for him to be there for me.”

Will she reengage with her life and the people in it—allowing room for things to be different than they were before? Or, will she remain stuck in the past, choosing her memories over real-life relationships?

On my latest novel Twelve Houses, I tell the story of a widow who discovers that her life story is far from over. Amelia is a brave woman who struggles to find her true place in the world and at the same time to create a life that holds spiritual meaning and purpose.

Though my first book, Borrowing My Mother’s Saints, was a comedy set in New York, I think both books describe a similar spiritual journey. The struggles of all of my characters are very important to me, and I love to hear from my readers about my books.

In my everyday life, I am married, and my husband and I are raising two sons. We currently divide our lives between San Diego, California, and Mexico.
