Guest Review by Tiffany:

This series is so hard to review for me. I fell in love with all of the characters in First Kiss, but also knew that this was going to be a roller-coaster of emotions with every book. However, I may have had a few more choice words with this book than the previous one because of some minor feeling changes. Frohoff really knows how to bring up some powerful emotions with her writing and the vivid characters that pull you in.

What is always so amazing with these books is that you never want to put them down. There is always something happening and if there isn't you know that you only have to make it a little bit further to get to the next big break. It doesn't matter if you are happy with what is going on or not, you are pulled right into the twister that is Aly and Jakes romance. I would also like to point out that so much more than the romance was in this book. There was so much loss, and more than loss of trust, it was the type of loss that pulls people apart and pushes other together. It's quite amazing what the author packs into one novel.

Alyssa was both a source of happiness and frustration in this book. With First Kiss I loved her. She was innocent and yet she was strong. She may have had to dance around the truth to be with Jake but they were so in love, and she was doing what she had to do to be with him. With this book I was elated to find out she had him back but then she seemed to be keeping a lot of secrets this time around. By secrets I mean things that she should have been sharing, and instead allowed these things to destroy so much. I was extremely disappointed in her for so many actions, and yet sometimes I understood her. You can only take so much before it is too much and you have to try something new and move on.

Jake seriously let me down in this book. I understood what he went through in the previous book and know that these things sometimes haunt you. However, for the sake of everything I had hope that he would have the strength to keep to his promises. A relationship takes two but when one person tore everything apart to start, they really need to keep their part of the deal. Jake himself needs to learn that every time something doesn't go according to plan not to fall back on what is easy. I believe that he could totally be what Aly wants and needs but old habits die hard and it seems that their romance could die with it. There is possibly a chance at redemption but when you are pulled apart like these two have been so many times, the chances get slimmer and slimmer.

These books are killing me. Frohoff seriously knows how to pull at every emotion I have. You want things to work out and you also hope that things will fall apart. Truth be told after reading this I am conflicted as to how I hope it all will end. I have never felt this way about a series before and I think it is absolutely genius. These books will wind you up and rip you apart, and yet they will leave you begging for more. Pick them up if you want something to take you on an emotional ride and are a fan of new adult reads. Also be prepared to be left wanting more.
Favorite Quotes:
I sat staring at Jake not believing what I was hearing.  Are you kidding me?  He still had a girlfriend and she had no idea that he was essentially leaving her to move in with me, into a brand new apartment.
I didn't know how to respond.  We were both sorry for our own reasons, but we wouldn't have been if there if it weren't for my nosey, prying eyes reading that letter and accusing him of lying to me.
"You make me crazy.  I miss you."  She reached under my shirt and her hands ran softly over my skin sending an instant jolt through me.
