Waiting on Wednesday - Passenger by Andrew Smith @marburyjack @mackidsbooks

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we seriously can’t wait for.

Jack and Conner have a plan.

They think it's the only reasonable way to deal with the Marbury lens.

But the four boys - Jack, Conner, Ben, and Griffin - end up scattered in different places at different times. Jack is lost in a Marbury that isn't Marbury, a Glenbrook that isn't Glenbrook, pursued through every crumbling not-world by an uncaring cop trying to solve the mystery of Freddie Horvath's murder, and a deceitful kid named Quinn Cahill who believes he is the King of Marbury. Jack's universe is collapsing in on itself. He finds his friends. He finds his home.

There's always just one thing, and Jack knows it.

This can't be it.

    1. You really need to read The Marbury Lens. Seriously.

Check back here on the blog Saturday. I'll be making a special announcement in regards to a event that I'm taking part in with 3 other bloggers in celebration of the release of PASSENGER. There will be tons of giveaways--including all of Andrew Smith's books (and more).

  2. I've got the first book on tap and look forward to reading it before Passenger comes out. Then he's got Grasshopper Jungle coming out, I think, next year. So yeah, he's got some great things going.

    1. Andrew is and has been my favorite author and person for a very, very long time. He is one of the most genuine folks you will ever come across in this lifetime. You will realize that in his novels. (If you haven't already) I have a very interesting interview that I held with him last February if you're interested in checking it out. Just go to the archives Feb 2010.

Grasshopper Jungle is going to be EPIC. As will WINGER and ONCE THERE WERE BIRDS. If you haven't read STICK, GHOST MEDICINE or IN THE PATH OF FALLING OBJECTS, I highly suggest doing so. Every single thing that Andrew writes is absolutely stunning.

Check out the blog on Saturday, I will be posting the information on the event that will be held in celebration of PASSENGER'S release. There will be read-along's for every book published to date, tons of giveaways and much more. Hope to see you there!

  6. Oh I haven't read the Marbury Lens, but it does sound awesome! I love the subtle difference in the covers though... I suppose I'd have to read them to know what it all means, huh?
