About The Author:

Anthony Breznican was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. He has worked as a reporter for The Arizona Republic, Associated Press, and USA Today. Anthony is currently a senior staff writer for Entertainment Weekly, covering Star Wars, Marvel, the Oscars, and whatnot. Brutal Youth is his first novel.

NO ONE CARED is the recently released novella by the author, Chemistry.

 Featuring fifteen-year old Zaria, a rape victim, Chemistry brings a tidal wave of emotions in less than 100 pages. Zaria was raped as an eight-year old girl and is now struggling with coming to terms with her abuse and being bullied as a teenager.

Chemistry presents readers with a unique view into a topic that few people care to touch. I will admit, it was hard to read at times, but it tugged at my heartstrings and left me reeling.

Over the course of the novella, we follow Zaria through a series of abuse, anger and betrayal. We watch her trying to find herself a midst – and in spite of – her past.

I would highly recommend this novella to parents and teens that are dealing with the effects of rape and/or bullying as both concepts are extremely well fleshed out and or if you are just looking for a quick read that you cannot put down.

Even more, I can honestly say I wish it had been a full-length novel.

Chemistry is a young single mother on a mission; she comes from a combination of hurt, anger, heartbreak, joy, happiness, neglect and abuse.

Out of this element, Chemistry was formed and an element can no longer be broken down. Therefore, in her writing, she brings all these mixtures; catching the readers eyes and hearts.

Chemistry plans to tour the country talking to other young women whom have been abused and are victims of domestic Violence. Writing was her way of escape, and now she has a story to tell.

Reality Boy was one of the most unusual books I have read this year. It is narrated by teenage, Gerald, a boy who once starred on a “Super Nanny”-type reality show.

From a young age, Gerald was bullied by his older sister and one day his anger and rage manifested into him defecating on the kitchen table. After many episodes of him leaving various members of his family his special “deposits” and having violent outbursts, Gerald begins anger management counseling. This soon leads Gerald into the pursuit of a normal life, despite his fears he is incapable.

At first, I must admit, I was a little off put by how much Gerald discusses poo and being known as “The Crapper”. I almost even put the book down after yet another poo-based chapter. However, at the urging of a friend, I kept on and I am really glad I did.

Through present-day narrative and a string of reality show memories, King gradually reveals more of Gerald’s personality and you can see him grow as a person as the book progresses.

The romance was light, but very sweet and inspiring – without ever being mushy. Gerald is able to find a meaningful relationship with a girl who believes she is just as broken. The two serve as mirrors of each other as they learn whom they are and how to trust.

King shows a vivid portrayal of the effects of being bullied and how one boy is able to overcome the taunts and find him-self – and love – along the way.

Chemistry is a self-published author from Alabama, and a single parent raising two teenage daughters.  
Chemistry has been writing for ten years now. She has had her writing published in Venus Divas Magazine, a popular online women magazine. Story Titled "The Daily Life Of The Other Woman". She has also recently had her story "The Big Boned Mistress" featured in "The Spirit of Big Boned Women" By Yolanda Zellous. 

Along with her writing she also is the Founder of Go Getta's Magazine; online. She has a very outspoken blog Titled "Ima Say It Anyway" where she voices her opinion and tells it like she sees it. 

 Chemistry hopes to be able to tour and talk to others about being in an abusive relationships and overcoming that situation. How writing became her way of escape. And raising kids in a single family home. 

 Chemistry is currently working on her upcoming novella "No One Cared" due to be release in September 2013.
